If you’re out to get the lowest prices for items, Amazon is “usually” the best place to look. But how can you be sure that you’ll find the absolute best price that you need? Don’t spend all day breaking your neck on the net in search of the best deals or coupon codes. I’ve brought you the easiest tricks involved in getting rock-bottom prices and saving both time and dough.
For some 20 years now, we’ve been Amazon customers, Prime members at that. And you know what we enjoy? Free 2nd-day shipping! Streaming access for tons of free movies and TV shows! And yeah, constant download of FREE books on Kindle to pass time reading!
Rather than scour and scout, I’ve long added and used several “browser extensions” like Honey, Qmee, and Wikibuy which take the work right out of my hands. Honey (compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera) is a free browser extension that just sits there at the upper right corner. As soon as you click on a product, the app goes to work “checking prices.”
Be patient while it looks up prices; you don’t want to miss out on the biggest and best deals that anyone could ever get for most items. The search could sometimes take 15 seconds or so before changing from “checking prices” to “Save 104.94” as you can see in the screenshot below. Thanks to the Honey icon!
Sure sounds like a great deal, right?
Interestingly, I’ve also installed other savings apps (top right corner of the Amazon page) to bail me out if and when Honey misses anything.
Qmee app is one, and I use it mainly at stores other than Amazon. Plus they pay you for taking surveys about your shopping experiences. Cool, innit? In this case (top left) Qmee found the same $1,749 as Honey. But the big saver for this item was the Wikibuy app. View the “green” box in the bottom left. This app found a store that sells this same item for $254 less than Amazon, Honey, and Qmee. You know what’s more? It comes with FREE shipping and no sales tax! Perfecto!
Already, very many smart shoppers have the Honey app installed since it’s been around a while. But why stop there? Why not install all three free extensions and be almost 100% certain you’re buying your item at the absolute lowest price possible? Set all three FREE apps and forget about them. Save more “dough” (get it?) than you ever thought possible! You game?
